Heartfelt congratulations to the President of the Federation of Italian Philatelic Societies, Bruno Crevato-Selvaggi, from the President and the AIDA Board, for the important recognition he has achieved, in the context of the hundred-first awarding of the “Roll of distiguished philatelists”.
The invitation to sign the “Roll”, which sees Crevato-Selvaggi as the only Italian among the five specialists chosen in this round, represents the highest and most prestigious recognition in the philatelic field; and also the oldest, if we consider that it was established by the Philatelic Congress of Great Britain in 1921 and saw King George V.
Bruno Crevato-Selvaggi, who is also President of the “Aldo Cecchi” Onlus Institute of Historical Postal Studies, has been given the merit of combining at best, with his studies and research, but also for his organizational skills, the world of Philately and Postal History with the academic world of university research.
The award ceremony, which will be broadcast via Zoom, will take place in London on February 21st, hosted by the Royal Philatelic Society, in conjunction with the London 2022 International Philatelic Exhibition.
