The FEPA Board has received nominations from the member Federations to award the FEPA Medal for the exceptional service to philately in 2021 and the exceptional philatelic study and research carried out also in 2021, as well as to reward companies for the activities of excellence and for the services rendered to the local community.

We are pleased to announce that among the four companies that received the Certificate of Appreciation there is also the historic Union Philatelic Subalpina (UFS) of Turin, which with its over 100 years of activity is one of the oldest philatelic societies in our country and one of the most committed to supporting local and national activities. The history of the Subalpine Philatelic Union is not only that of the organized events, or of the many contributions given to philatelic knowledge or of the prestigious awards in exhibitions, but it is also and perhaps above all that of the many evenings or afternoons spent discussing philately, watching presentation of the collections by its members, listen to expert advice, discuss rates or speculate on the meaning of the signs visible on a letter.
Our congratulations to the Subalpine Philatelic Union, with which our association has excellent collaborative relationships for joint initiatives and we have been exchanging our magazines for some time. The same recognition went to the companies “Odbornà spole?nost kosmos”, from the Czech Republic, to the “Southampton and District Philatelic Society”, from the United Kingdom and to the “Verein für briefmarkenkunde Frankfurt am Main von 1878, from Germany. As for collectors, the French Bernard Jimenez was awarded for the exceptional service to organized philately and, on an equal footing, the Danish Lars Engelbrecht (with his “Postal Stationery of Denmark – The bi-colored issue 1871-1905”) and the Portuguese Pedro Vaz Pereira (with his “Os Correios Portugueses 1853-1900”), for exceptional study and research.
