Just a few days left until Fly Future 2024, the third edition of the only orientation and information event in Italy for young people interested in finding job and career opportunities in the aviation and space industry. This event, organized by the association Ifimedia and Mediarkè, will take place on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st February 2024 at the European University of Rome (https://www.flyfuture.it/)
Unfortunately, this year we are unable to participate in person, but we want to do so through our website, sharing with all our members all the information related to this important upcoming initiative.
Also this year, on the occasion of the event, a commemorative philatelic sheet will be issued, commemorating two important events in Italian aerospace history:
- the 60th anniversary of the first flight on July 15, 1964, of the prototype of the SIAI Marchetti/Aermacchi SF-260 aircraft, the most commercially successful Italian trainer aircraft in the post-war period with over 900 units produced;
- the 60th anniversary of the launch into orbit of San Marco 1, the first satellite built in Italy and launched on December 15, 1964, by Professor Luigi Broglio’s team using an American LTV Scout launcher from the NASA Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia (USA).

This new philatelic sheet, printed in a limited edition of 1,000 copies, will be distributed free of charge upon request at the organizational desk during the event (one copy per visitor). A copy will be sent to our members with the next magazine issue.
