The Postal Table 2025

Starting January 20, 2025, a new cycle of Zoom conferences titled “The Mail Never Imagined” will kick off. Like the previous four editions, this initiative aims to offer different and sometimes unconventional perspectives on the world of mail.

The organization, as always, is spearheaded by the “Postal Table”, which includes the Historical Museum of Communication, the Aldo Cecchi Institute of Historical Postal Studies (ISSP), the Italian Philatelic Press Union (USFI), and the daily publication Vaccari News.

The meetings will be held on Mondays, this time at 6:00 PM. Each session will last about 60 minutes, featuring a presentation, questions, and audience considerations. Participation is free; simply request the link by emailing: museo.comunicazioni@mise.gov.it.

From the 2025 program (attached below), featuring a variety of interesting presentations on diverse topics in postal history, a particularly noteworthy session stands out for its focus on aerophilately and airmail history. Specifically, we refer to Michele Caso’s presentation on February 24, 2025, titled “Mail and Passengers: Civil Air Transport Between the Two World Wars.”
