In the news of November 30, 2021, we announced this important event, which took place in Canada from June 9 to 12, 2022, at the Metro Toronto Conference Center (MTCC) in Toronto, Ontario. It was the first major international exhibition reserved exclusively for the 1 Frame collections, organized under the patronage of the FIP, in which over 400 exhibitors participated. As is usually the case in these events, the winners of the Grand Prix were announced during the Palmares dinner, held on June 11. The highest recognition went to a collection of aerophilathelia: This is the collection The Pigeon Mail of Great Barrier Island – stage setting for the first airmail stamps of the world, by the Swiss Damian Läge, one of the most classic and rare collections of aerophilathelia internationally recognized , which scored 95 points.

At the headquarters of the CAPEX 22, the “Canadian Aerophilatelic Society” organized a meeting of the FIP Commission for Aerophilatelia, which was held from 12.00 to 14.00 on Saturday 11 June, with connection via Zoom for people not present at the event. The meeting also included a presentation by Norman Banfield, interim president of the FIP Commission for Aerophilatelia, who illustrated the regulatory developments that have taken place following the issuance of the new Guidelines for Aerofilatelia exposures.
As we know, having discussed them in the Seminar organized at the end of May 2022 by our Federation, in collaboration with AIDA, the new guidelines were approved at the meeting of the Commission for aerophilathelia on 1 December 2018 and presented to the FIP Council, that approved them on August 28, 2019, postponing, however, for technical reasons, their ratification at the FIP Congress to be held in Jakarta next August 2022. In the meantime, the Commission recommended that the new guidelines for the aerofilatelia to judge the collections in competition.
