In 2024, the Universal Postal Union (UPU) will be 150 years old. To worthily commemorate the event, an international scientific conference will be organized entitled (in Italian): “Making the world «one postal territory» – History and topicality of a global promise”, to be held in Bern on 2 February 2024.
The conference will address, in a historical and scientific way, the events of the UPU from many points of view. Philatelists who intend to participate can submit their own report, in English or French (the official languages ??of the interview) by next March 2023. Undoubtedly, looking at the title, airmail would also have an important space and will have it certainly, if we think of the contribution that airmail has made in the last century in greatly shortening mail transmission times.
