FISA (Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Aero-Astrophilatéliques) President Jaonnaes Palmer announced that the 52nd FISA Congress will be held in Gmunden, Austria, on August 28, 2026, during the PHILA TOSCANA event. The congress will be held at the GRÜNBERGHOF Hotel in Gmunden, while the exhibition will be held at the Centro Congressi Toscana in Gmunden.
Hotel capacity in this beautiful resort town nestled between mountains and lakes is limited and in high demand, especially during the summer. Therefore, anyone wishing to participate is strongly advised to book and plan their trip now.
For the occasion, the Austrian Post Office will issue at least one special stamp and one commemorative cancellation. An aerophilatelic and astrophilatelic cover, as well as a sheet of vignettes, are also planned.
A limited-edition helicopter delivery service is also being planned for the 69th Gordon Bennett Cup (World Hot Air Balloon Championship) in Filzmoos, Austria. Furthermore, the Liechtenstein Post Office will issue a special commemorative stamp for the FISA Congress.
